Exclamation Snorkle?

I have a 2000 3.0l ford ranger i would like to get a snorkle kit or even make one but i dont know where to start.. HELP! I ran into some deep water crossing a small overflown lake and got some water in my air box so i would like a snorkle

DON'T DRIVE INTO A LAKE. LAKES ARE FOR BOATS AND OTHER VEHICLES MEANT TO FLOAT.

go buy your self some pvc. make it so you can put it on before driving into water then remove it afterwards!

but yeah, stay out the water mang, water is bad

I love playing in the water with my truck though and i do lots of small creek crossings when i go on wheeling trips. I just want some help

Well the opening on the airbox is on the front.... So I would think maybe fiber glassing the hole over, and then cut a new one on the side and run pvc along the fender towards the back, the have it turn out, cut a hole in the back of the fender and then run it up the cab pillar to the top. And if you do plan on doing deep water crossings, you should try to water proof alot of the electrical systems under the hood.

i think thats a great idea thats what i was going for! I wont do really deep crossing but i play in water and mud pits alot and i always get junk, water, and mud all in my air box and sometimes in the air hose so i need to be more careful
