Default what do you take on a roadtrip

i take maps, flashlight, cellphone, sunglasses, tire pressure gauge,suitcase filled with clothes, ipod , food, and my double gulp filled to the top with mountain dew

Clothes I need for how ever many days I will be gone
Beef Jerky
1 ton floor jack
tool box
package of zip ties
air compressor
fix a flat in a can
qt of oil
qt of transmission fluid
small gas can with 2 gallons of gas.

Container of gum that fits in the drink holder, maps, flashlight, my emergency roadside repair kit that is always in my truck, my knife, a few good drinks, tire pressure gauge, qt of oil, qt of trans fluid, some rope, some towels, and some tunes.

Coffee. Yep that's it. Coffee, coffee, coffee and perhaps a few espressos. And I don't always wait for rest stops. Sometimes I just pull over and shuffle off into the bushes.

Normally, I'm pretty well prepared for basically a battle, lol.

My last road trip, though, I brought one extra set of clothes, and that was it. Totally stupid, lol. Couldn't believe I did that.

I have pulled off on a exit before to get a quick 30-45 minute power nap

I bring my ipod, shades, a cooler full of Cokes, extra clothes, toothbrush etc. I always have a quart of oil, a quart of transmission fluid, and a few quarts of 85-140 gear oil in my toolbox.
