close this thread! we don't need any more of these threads from people who have no clue that mazda isn't selling trucks in the US anymore and the ranger will be dead this year in the US.

Holy crap, it's NOT a Crew Cab! I was beginning to think the new Ranger platform was going to be crew cabs only (not that it matters here anyway )

Do you mean Ford has no plans to replace the Ranger? Just a quick search online yesterday revealed some spy-photos of a possible new Ranger replacement. You have inside knowledge?

Thanks for the polite/intelligent response. I read on this site yesterday that the Ranger was discontinued and just did a quick search and came up with a few things. That's too bad but not the end of the world. Maybe Ford has the Eco-Boost 6cyl power and mileage in the F150 where the Ranger selling half as many per year as Tacoma wasn't worth it? Guess my next truck will be full size. I live in town and street parking is limited but I need a truck.

Well actually according to the Mayan calender, the end of the Ranger line and the end of the the world do coincide so... Sorry.

I so wish that I could buy a crated Eco-Boost. I will be watching the junk yards for rear ended Tauruses/MKS's like a hawk.

Cool dj. There are reasons why in this country, for Ford, the F150 is the largest selling vehicle and in Europe the Fiesta. We are a country of trucks. Full size trucks are great on our bad roads and hauling stuff. Just carried a couple hundred pounds of asphalt to patch in front of my driveway approach yesterday.

Hey mickblock I love the Mayan calendar/Ranger ending at the same time. Our world as we know it ends with the Ford Ranger! I love it!!!
