Default Thoughts on this ranger

I'm very much considering trading my ranger for this one and i'd just like to hear your guys thoughts. I really like it. If it wasn't over 3 hours away, i would have looked at it tonight. And i would be getting rid of mine and getting this one. And i know that it has more miles than my 01, (mine has 73k this has 88k) but it's 2 years newer and it has the rims i like, and the nicer interior/cluster.

I like yours better dude. If you trade it in, you may have higher and longer payments plus consider the fact that you dont know how the previous owner has treated it. You have had your truck for a while and have done a few mods and kept it well. I say convert the interior of the truck you have. I can help and I am sure other members will too. I would hate to see you get rid of a nice truck for a truck that may have problems and you have to put more money out monthly. If you do the interior, do it little by little and make it a nice project.

I agree with Clinton here. While that's a nice truck, it's a steep price for wheels and interior trim (plus the extra mileage and unknown drivetrain history)

I'd say look into making swaps on your current truck. Just my 2¢

X elebenty million. You know your truck and your 01 has less miles. Not worth the trade when you could just upgrade those parts on yours. You aren't really gaining anything doing that trade.

Plus you have to remember that it has more miles in a shorter amount of time. Given it is low miles for the year, but yours is even lower. Not worth it IMO.

X3. You'd come out of the losing end of this deal for sure. Plus there's no way of telling what was done to this truck to resell it to begin with. There could be some botched/quick body work involved. The first place I'd look is underneath the bedliner concerning this matter. Not to mention the fact that the drivetrain could be a time bomb waiting to go off, plus if that dealer won't let you take a closer look at it, then there's definately something wrong with it. Outer appearances wise it looks nice, but like the others have said why buy another ranger that can cost you more money in the long term than what you've spent on yours already. Plus you always upgrade your truck to your liking as the others have said. I'd keep what you have and go ahead and redo the interior to my liking if I was you. ask yourself this question: What do my instincs say about this truck, and will they let me look at it closer?

I'd have to say x4. You know the dealer won't give you KBB private for your truck. You'd be taking a completely unnecessary hit financially. why end up forking over 2-3k when you can do all the interior swap with that money?

Just keep an eye out on good ol' craigslist! I got my fx4 red/black buckets AND a shorty console for $200 last summer. and guages and a-pillars are always in abundance on here

downgrade, keep your truck. the only way I would trade is if you were trading for a much newer one (like 06+) with less miles than yours now

I agree with him and what everyone else says. My concern besides the 4*4 is the higher miles being a turnoff. I like the red, but I'd wait and see what happens down the road. What if you like something better or something unforseen happens to your truck (like it being totaled)? You could then use the insurance as a better down payment for something else. Good luck.

i agree with pretty much everyone else; plus if you want a newer interior, definately look for a 2004+
