Re: Preferred Gas Station and Octane?
My local kroger sell gas 10 cents off for every $100 you spend. And now they have updated it to 20 cents every $200 and $1 every $1000. Thats $1 off every gallon. I don't think we would ever spend $1000 in a month on groceries though. The card can also be used to get 10 cents off at shell stations. Shell gas gives me a little boost in power but I have always measured worse fuel efficiency with it than the Kroger gas. I would say my favorite though would be Cheveron.

Re: Preferred Gas Station and Octane?
I run Petro Canada 87 Octane about 80% of the time....works great. I just fueled up tonight and my last tank I got 19.9 MPG....almost at the 20 MPG mark!

Re: Preferred Gas Station and Octane?
I always fill up with 87 octane at the Citgo station in town. I get 5 or 6 cents a gallon off when i use their prepaid card.

Re: Preferred Gas Station and Octane?
I put whatever is the cheapest gas the day I need gas. I have never seen a difference in that little 4 cyc as far as MPG, or performance (joke 4 cyc don't perform).
I always try to run Chevron with tetron additive in my Corvette. The type gas I run in the Vette does make a difference in performance and MPG.

I think you're confusing your oil giants. Exxon and Mobil are merged. Chevron is still it's own thing.

Re: Preferred Gas Station and Octane?
Cheveron owns Texaco now. Both use Techron.
