yes you can change the speed to accomadate for larger tires, it takes a little bit of tweaking to get it dialed in

I wanted to get one of these, but it doesn't do metric

I'm going to get a bluetooth OBDII sender and use an app on my phone instead. It costs about the same, but it's more customizeable.

I picked up my scangauge from diehard4rd (dave) for the same price as an ultragauge.. my recommendation to anyone wanting one is to hold out and wait for a deal.. its what I did and couldn't be happier. I LOVE how I can change the screen color to match my instrument cluster so it looks more OE.

my only bitch about the scangauge is that when you reset it, there is no option for a partial fill up like the UG has on it

Default Ultragauge vs ScanGauge

I got one an Ultragauge and a ScanGuage (SG). Both are great but work differently. I use the UG in my rnager and the SG in my company car. The UG has a bigger screen and more visible guages (6 gauges x three screens). Also, it doesn't always reset itself (AveMPG) after turning off the car for a few minutes.

The UG had a great mount--better than my TomTom's--or you can mount it with Velcro tape.

It is the most watched gauge in the vehicle! I got mine for $59.00 where the SG cost $169.00--big difference so my vote is for the Ultragauge.

to either monitor your vehicles diagnostics or just watch your average miles per gallon.

yeah, worth it in my view. gives you warnings whenever something "out of the blue" happens. and can read any stored codes on your OBD-II system. also has 70+ programmable gauges. for $70 i honestly am not complaining.

It completely complements the "idiot light" which so many of love to death. Whenever your "see your local Ford dealer" light lights up, you can diagnose the problem and even reset the light to off.

You can monitor dozens of sensors including intake manifold pressure, gallons per hour, miles to empty, half a dozen trip gauges and so on.

The mounting bracket is very solid and the buttons are actually easy to operate even while driving. You have the option to mount it with Velcro anywhere it will fit.

I find it a very useful instrument and my most watched gauge. The ScanGauge has some very nice features.

I always wondered why GPS makers don't combine their GPSs with OBDII capability all in one package?

Here's the manual so you can see all it does.
