soo....... im the third owner of mine. do i take it in and have it checked out or what? just drive up and say fix it please? ford dealerships suck where i live. all they do is put new dents and scratches in your pride and joy and don't pay for it. at least if it goes up in flames my insurance will pick up the truck. but i rather not have fire. should i get the fucker checked out? i live in 110 degree weather all summer long lol it should of gone up by now im guessing lol

we got a recall on are 98 f350 im not sure wat it was for but that was like last month. i never use my cc should i go see if i need it done?

if their offering to fix it for free, then i'd check it out at your local ford stealership to get the details. something like that i'd rather not have happen to me when driving down the highway and thinking i can cruise along..this was in october, so they might be a little fuzzy on details lol.

I've taken a vehicle in for a recall and that's basically what I did. I printed out the info just in case, but the service guy knew what I was talking about right away and took it in without any hassle.

Got my letter a couple months ago, called the dealer to set an appointment, no parts, (surprise, not). Dealer called about a week later, took the truck in, repair took about 5 minutes.
It appears this is being done because the switch on the master cylinder can leak brake fluid inside the plug and create a fire. Mine wasn't leaking, but they replace the switch and put a fuse inline on one of the wires, awful looking job. I'll get a picture posted here later.
