Default possible fuel problem

Hey fellow rangers this is vjb I have an issue with my 2.3 5 speed o/d.
I left work one day thinking I can make it home to get fuel on my side of town, but I ran out of gas. My wife brought me some gas in my gas can I use for cutting grass so there may be possible dirt in my tank.
My ranger is stuttering and won`t stay running and shakes bad trying to stay running. Would this be a possible fuel filter change?

I would say try that. sometimes junk builds at the bottom of the tank and when run low it can clog the filter because it sucked that junk up. Old school trick would be banging the fuel tank slightly with a hammer to move some junk away if the tank is the problem but my guess is the filter

Yup fuel filter is what figures based on your post. Or your wife brought you the 40:1 gas. But that would not be an issue if you now have a full tank.

Thanks for all of the replys, I bought some fuel additives but I think what did the trick was the additive and running it and then letting it set overnight, all the junk must have settled back down to the bottom of the tank. She runs great now. Thanks again.

Next time you're really bored and have an empty tank:

Drop it and clean it

I did both my tanks, and lost 40 lbs!!!!!
