i really like that. seems like a perfect size and a great alternative to the reg tool boxes.

ditching the slim Kobalt box I bought awhile back...for those who don't know I'm VERY into my quads(currently have 6 lol, and even with the slim over the rail box it was pretty tricky getting the quad to sit right and diamond plate doesnt exactly hold up to the weight of putting the tires on top of it.

SOOOOO this is my experiment. Obviously sturdy at 64lbs lol. and really storage wise it's about the same as the kobalt box. but at only a foot high it will be SUPER easy just to set the front tires on it and I'll be able to close the tailgate. And if it gets dented WHO CARES, it sits so low nobody will see it!

and at 48' wide I'm thinking a jerry can and a mounting bracket up in the corner might be in order....

It's already ordered so you can't talk me out of it haha. I know it's not quite "easy access" but it's not like jumping up in the bed is gonna kill me lol

so what do ya'll think? once I get it in I'll post up pics. I'm thinking of possibly doing a roll on liner to it to prevent any rust

I have to laugh at that thing but it's your money.

Kyle:

It's cool, but too bad about the lettering; I don't know if you knew this, but that thing came from a real live missile plant (from the Lockheed Martin site):

The Missiles and Fire Control Archbald site is one of the largest high technology engineering and manufacturing employers in the Greater Scranton area. Archbald products include Paveway II laser-guided bombs and laser guided training rounds; specialized instrumentation, control devices and shipboard packaging for the US Navy; and manufacturing services such as a state-of-the-art metal crafting and electrical assembly capability.

Maybe you did good after all; if you had left the paint and lettering on it, some fool would stolen it 'cause he thought there was a missile inside!
