Broken stabilizer bar, am I right?

its just a long bolt, honestly its totally safe to drive still, it will just have more body roll cornering. i took mine off months ago.

I'm no gear head, but I'm learning. Is this a hard/expensive fix?
I assume this is what was making the clunking sound when I start and stop.

yeah it would clunk for sure. but just buy some new sway bar links, they are super easy to get on and off.

ya probably and they are cheap on rockauto.com and don't take long to fix. gettin the stock ones off are a pain in the butt

You got those off rockauto? They are simple looking, but they add a touch of class over the stock ones. I have a new learning project

the stock one is one long bolt so get a wrench that fits on the top and take a socket to the bottom of it and just take it off, then slip the new one in.

That sounds simple enough. I've never worked on one of my vehicles before today. I noticed the sway bar link while pulling out some wiring the previous owner had done. I'm glad I joined FRF, and I appreciate all the people that are willing to help. God knows I'll need it lol.

hahaha yeah man its easy, plus if yuou mess up just take it all off, wont hurt anything well if you are wanting to keep a factory ride it will make your truck lean more. but its cake work, a good place to start working on your truck.
