Default Engine Replacement

I have a 2000 Ranger Extra Cab with a 3.0 Flex Fuel, and a 5 speed manual. I am contmeplating replaceing this with a 2.3. Does anyone know if the motor mounts are the same for these two engines?

Just curious, why do you want to put a smaller engine in it?

Default Engine Replacement

There are more avaiable aftermarket parts for the 2.3 Liter. The hope of better fuel economy, and possibly add a turbo. The early mistang SVO had the 2.3 liter with a turbo, and intercooler that was pretty impressive in the performance area, and pretty good fuel economy.
