I got this set of emblems I saved off my '67 F-100. They are in ruff shape so I decided to clean them and paint. I checked on chrome dipping and its $60 per piece, dont have the coin to do that. I was think of painting the inside rectangles the same blue as my truck, color code LL. Origanlly the boxes were red, white and blue. I like the silver color so that they are visable against the dark blu color of my truck.

What do you guys think? color suggestions are welcome. I liked the idea of placing them on the box as they were on the '67, but the step side bed does not have a good flat spot to place them. So Im thinking about putting them on the fenders.

I just ordered three of those to replace my emblems. I think what I'll do is deburr and fill the pits in the sides of the letters in with bondo, paint the sides and try to polish up the chrome on the actual face.

Hey the original colors will look good. You'll know better if you get a good photoshop going. I mean they are just good looking emblems either way.
