sweet thast really nice looking! id still say try to talk him down a couple hundered but not bad at all. just look around it, check the fluid levals, look below for anything oilly like if theres a leak, just see how it feels when driving, do one power acceleration and see how the pick up is. be sure to go in reverse as well to make sure that works properly

Obviously it's bee hit on the front hard enough to require replacement of all those front end parts. Nobody replaces those parts just for something to do. No reason to panic, lots of vehicles that old have been repaired but you need some proof that the repairs were done right. Have a body shop that does frame work look at. Check to see if it has a salvage title. A reason to pay less than book if it does and some banks may not loan on it. Good luck.

Yea I asked him about that... I thought it had mabey been smashed up but he said it had the stock fenders when he got it. Him and his son were gunna do a prerunner project but his son ended up going off to school or something so now the truck has just been sitting. He said had some recent work done to it like a battery, alignment and a couple other things. I think Im gunna go check it out tomarrow. Ill deffinately check for any possible oil leaks and see how it drives/ run. Thanks for your input guys, now im feeling a little better about the buy. Hes down at 4000 right now and said he dosnt want to go much lower than that..

So the dad is selling it? That would explain why the grille is actually from an 01-03 XLT, not a 2005.
