Please forgive a noob if I am dropping this is the wrong spot, but I am trying to figure out what trim package this truck has by looking at a couple of pictures... I know that it is a 2002 with a 4L V6. You can also tell by the pics that it is a 4x4 and an automatic.

I am trying to figure out if it is an XL or XLT... I don't know if the 4x4 XL also has a 4x4 Off Road sticker on the bed.







I am sure that you guys will have no problems with this, but I just started my research a few days ago...

Oh - I was also confused about this Does that mean that I should avoid one with the "Off Road" label? I can't tell if that is meant to warn people that there is no real value to the Off Road versus the XLT... Again, any info you couple provide about this truck using the limited information that I have provided would be greatly appreciated. I live 90 minutes away, so I can't stop by after work and get a closer look!

That looks like a 2002 XLT Off Road

Off Road label is just the "group" it belongs in as in it is capable of going off road and 4wheelling.

They made very few 4wd XL trucks the XL is a base model ranger with basically nothing. I have only seen maybe 2 4wd extended cab XL's ever.

That right there is a very sexy 2001-2003 XLT supercab 4x4 with optional step bars, and bed caps.

Yes, I found it while searching for a truck in my area. I wasn't sure I was interested because there wasn't much details in the posting, but you folks have helped me out a lot already and I am pretty interested in it now.

I can't tell how much rust is on the doors (NY and our salt use...), but most trucks I have seen seem to show it first on the tailgate so hopefully it is pretty clean. Might have to make the 90 minute trip up with some cash and see it in person soon.

Yep STL is correct.

On a side note my 06 is a extended cab 4x4 xl. vinyl floor, manual doors and locks, 4.0 and 4.10 gears. Just the way I wanted it.
