Default new ranger owner need some advice

Earlier this month I picked up a 98 Ford ranger V6 3.0 extended cab 4 door with around 218,000 miles on it from a private party. I'm 3rd owner and supposedly most of the miles are hwy. They had the truck listed for 3400 and I walked away with it for 2400. I've already dropped some cash in this truck doing a transmission flush, new spark plugs and spark wire set, oil and oil filter change, new air filter, new thermastat, new fuel filter, new upholstery for front bucket seats and arm rest due to bad tears and wearing.

After these repairs I still have a few leaks under the hood that I'm trying to have taken care of. My concern is over time am I making a good investment with this truck? There's no damage at all to the frame along with no body rust. I really want to flip this truck into something nice from what it first was I just need some reassuring from those who know more about these trucks with what I've listed.

Thanks

Thats Alot of miles, but I think if you get whatever the leaks are fixed, and keep it Well Maintained it should work out to be a nice truck..

Also my buddies dad, has an 83 with 484,000 Miles... So yea...

Every vehicle for sale with high miles is always "all highway"

I don't think that any vehicle is an "investment" unless it's some sort of rare classic, and even then, that's dicey at best..

What you've essentially bought is a beater, no offense... For $2400 bucks, maintain it, drive it, etc.. I wouldn't really sink too much money in it or you may end up disappointed.
