2005 ford ranger intake help
hey i just bought a 2005 ford ranger xlt v6 with a 3.0 liter and a 5speed manual...........i wanna get a intake need help....eny 1 outthere that has one 4 sale

ebay does. or look in the classifieds. i have a volant system on my truck, same year and same motor. it was a gift so i dont know how much it cost, but i like it. the filter is in a box instead of just a little heat shield.

intakes sound good....but they dont really do anyhting else but help the engine breathe alittle better....no better mpg's....i have a k&n in my 2004 dodge ram it was pretty easy to install and it sounds good but thats it.....id check out summitracing.com or autoanything.com

Are you trying too alter performance or looks? If it's power you are after, then no intake modifications will gain you anything. They look nice. But they do nothing.
I suggest if you want to put your money to good use, get an xcal or similar tuner with custom tunes by guys who know what they're doing. Proven and noticeable performance, lots of options.
