NICE TACOMA! When the ranger bites the dust, which i hope is never, i'll probably look into a taco. Stick around the forum man, you knowledge could be useful. Best of luck with the Toyota.

Nice truck man, and I'm not sure what the ford dealer was smoking, this was 2 summers ago, but I could have bought a 2010 ranger base model for $11,000 brand new, or a 4x4 for $18,000. I realize they went back up but that is way too high, anyway, good luck with the toyota dude!

For 29K it better be fully loaded, manual shift 4x4, and give me back massages.

Either way, hope the Taco does you well!

I was at the local Ford dealer last week looking for a used full size 2wd beater truck. The only 2wd they had was a '01 Lightning that wasn't worth their asking price.

Anyway, the salesman was trying to talk me into buying another Ranger instead. They've got 4 in, all sticker priced at around $27,000.00. He said they only bought them because Ford said they could sell them for under $20,000. They kinda specialize in loaded F150's there normally. All 4 are 4dr 4x4 supercab XLT's. Had I not just bought a 2011 Tacoma a couple months ago I would have left in a new Ranger.

That lightning was pretty nice, though.

He walked away from the $29,000 vehicle and went with the cheaper one.

Either way, he probably has a job and either lives at home or lives with roommates... not that it's even any of our business.
