Hi
My girlfriend and I are about to buy our first vehicle. I'm a carpenter and my girl has a small market garden. We're gonna use the truck for my daily commute, driving produce to the farmers market on weekends and just driving around. It will be our only vehicle.
I'm in charge of the purchase, and I'm pretty set on a Ford Ranger 3.0 V6 because of fuel economy. We are gonna drive at least 250 miles a week, so a minimum of 25 mpg is required. This is possible with a 3.0 V6 Ranger, right?
Our budget is $5000, Canadian
, and I'd like to get a 2000 or later with less than 125.000 miles on the clock. 4x4 and ext. cab. is a must.
Any good tips when browsing the web? As mentioned, it will be my (our) very first vehicle, and I wont be able to do any repairs my self (not yet, at least), so I don't wanna buy a piece of crap.
All tips are more than welcome!
All the best,
Mathias
