Tap the starter with a hammer, that worked for me when my starter went up.

Engines don't just sieze when parked and turned off. It is probably a bad starter based on the gridning noise. The starter is probably siezed up and the clicking is the voltage drop from the siezed starter pissing off the relays.

x2. start simple, then work your way towards the tricky stuff.

And for gods sake don't try to hand crank the engine wit ha pipe rammed into a pulley. Unless you want to break something.

you can turn the motor over with a wrench on the crank pulley. obviously you dont do it with the ignition on, you only do it to make sure the motor turns.

im also doing to guess starter.

You can take the plugs out (to make it easier) and turn it a bit in either direction. It's how you get to TDC when doing timing work. It just won't feel consistent, but it'll satisfy you that it isn't seized.
The starter might not be lining up with the teeth on the flywheel and needs to be tightened or shimmed. Probably just tightened.

If it's a Ztec, hell my sister had one that she drove the coolant out of. Looked and sounded like hell. Didn't seize though! I put it back together and she is still putting miles on it.

Start really simple, check the oil... If the level is fine, you're not seized. Is it a stick? If so, push start that mofo.

its an automatic,i replace the starter on it and its still doing nothing,i just hear a "bog" sound when i try to start it,no turn no nothing just that sound, couple of tries the key got stuck on the cylinder, would the key cylinder has something to do with whats goin now? coz 5 days ago,i had triple aaa replace that key cylinder as ford focus is notorious for that,

Yea probably. That would have been critical need-to-know information when you started this thread.
