Uhg bad memories. Been there, learned my lesson, not going back. Every vette leaks water in the tops, all of them in every model. Every vette has rattles and squeaks inside like a geo metro. Every vette leaks oil, it's a chevy it leaks oil. Problems that go wrong are usually in the ECU. My fathers C5 was just as big of a piece as my C4 and both were in MINT condition.

My T-Tops don't leak, and they didn't leak in my Camaro either with 80k on the clock. My Camaro never burned oil or leaked anything. Interiors on the Vettes are cheap, but that is because you get an awesome drivetrain for a cheap price.

the leak issue can easily be corrected with new weatherstripping, not a hard job or expensive job IF it happens. At least the option for T-Tops or removable glass roof was available instead of a plain old vert or hardtop.

That's a great car. Many lamborghini owners sold out to to buy them.

Somebody has never priced a vette top seal. Regardless, I'm right. I've owned it, I've priced it. No real use in going further.

$150 or so I'd bet for your Vette stripping? T-Top ones can be had for close to $100, but my family has had many vettes and camaros and firebirds before with no leak issues in their glass top or t-tops. A little inspection every now and then and maybe some silicone goes a long way, but I never did that to my Camaro which was used through winters and sat outside all its life and it never leaked. Sure leaks can happen, but it isn't a big deal and its a GREAT option to have. I hate verts and I love the option of popping the tops off on a warm day

If the top leaks. I'll never know it.
My Mustang never seen rain, snow, & only a VERY random car wash.

For me it's a fun in the sun car. A toy.

Vettes are amazing cars, nuff said. As for the Colorado, the i5 is very powerful IMO. My ex has one and it was very ballsy.

Also the vette is a nice car as long as you drive in a straight line and don't mind an uncomfortable interior.

I'm finding them for about $120 per side for a C5 (LH side seems to cost a bit more).

Straight line only? The vettes take corners great, these aren't muscle cars. Magnetic ride control, active stability control and the likes all help the vette knock out some awesome track times. Motor Trend compared a C6 Z06, GT500 and a Nissan GTR; the GTR squeaked ahead of the Vette by not much if I recall.

well back to the original topic of rangers vs colorado's my mom has an o4 colorado I5 with 166k on it and ever since it hit 140k its had problems and the interior creaks and makes all kinds of noises her suspension is shot and tires wearing terribly bad the guy at the alignment shop said it can't be perfectly aligned. everytime u hit a bump the truck jerks all over the road. my ranger takes corners alot better than her truck and i bet my 3.0L could keep up with her i hate her truck whenever i drive it everytime i push the pedal down it downshifts and when it doesn't downshift it has no power. nice looking truck but i would trade my 96 ranger for it even if it was brand new i love my ranger and she loves her colorado. chevy vs ford old battle won't be won till one goes bankrupt.
