I finally, after having my truck for 9 months, got the ugly dealer logo off the back. I hate those things.

I sprayed Goo Gone, on it and let it sit for a few minutes and I used a plastic scraper to very gently pull it off. I have heard of some people using a heat gun or blow dryer to head the glue strip. I was worried about scratching the paint with the scraper but it didn't. Just be careful and give the Goo Gone a few minutes to work.

i dont know why dealers do this, a license plate just the trick and is easily reverseable

LOL! I thought about doing the same thing, but I didn't want to be at the dealership any longer.

I took the dealer decals off right when I got home.

I bought mine from a private party but it still had license plate frames from a dealer, until about a day after I bought it. I like stls idea!

Another way to take those off is to run a piece of fishin line behind it back and forth and it will come off.

The fishing line works great, i've pulled many emblems off that way.

my "dealer" emblem is so small and lucklilly matches the trucks color theme (Red and black) that unless I point it out, nobody notices it, so it doesn't bother me.
actually, what bothers me is the ugly off grey "4X4" on the tailgate. Now, if THAT were black, then it would be ok.
