Default What do you all think about this?

I'm currently looking for a ranger and came across this deal... seems too good to be true but let me know what you all think!

well theres no cruiese control, power window or door locks. mileage is real low thats suprising. But i can tell you your not going to like that 4 cylinder. thats the main reason its that cheap

well what's wrong with a 4cyl? I actually wanted one because of gas but I don't like the idea of it not having power doors and not having cruise control...

There's a new Ranger further down in the ad for a grand more. Not sure if all states have the same law regarding what is considered "new" but in several states a vehicle can have up to 2k miles and still be sold as new, as long as it was never titled of course.

What you're looking at in reality is a 2 year old truck . As slow as sales are, a price of 11k is more realistic for a used stripped down base Ranger. (Used is used, it lost 2k in value as soon as it left the lot if it was sold before)

As for the 4 cylinder, with the price of fuel heading to $5.00 a gallon, (which it is already at here) a 4 banger isn't such a bad idea. But the automatic behind it isn't such a good thing for fuel mileage.

I read on here that the auto transmission had more towing capacity.

I don't know how good of a deal it is, seems ok to me.

the link did not fully load for me so i only saw 2wd standard, used and 2010

id say its overpriced! esp since theyre like 15k basic..

----------

autos do have better towing but people do not buy 4cyls to tow with or at least they shouldnt lol

----------

it loaded.....i wouldnt pay more than like 10k despite milage, just because of the lack of options

BUT its a very good truck to mod since it has nothing lol

the auto is "rated" to tow more since ford compensates for driver error with manuals hence smaller towing capacity on paper.

Its an average price, try looking at the 11s to get the options you want with 0% and rebates you might be able to get a better payment. I have a 4cyl. 5 speed and getting 30+ mpg hwy, automatics get 2-3 mpg less.
