Default water leak

I seem to have some sort of leak in my truck. Whenever it rains or and today when I took it to the car wash. It seems to be coming in from the driver's side rear speaker enclosure (reg cab XL, no speakers in there) trying to figure out where it's getting in? I did replace the 3rd brake light a few months back, could that be it?

Not sure where the speakers are on a reg cab, but you may have to gut your interior back there and run some water over the back of the truck from a hose and start looking with a light. Did the rear brake light have some sort of foam gasket between the lamp housing and the body? If that happens to be the source of your leak, some clear silicone may fix it.

Yes it did have a foam gasket. I think the new lamp does too, but I can't remember right now.

easy solution to see if its your problem.

take electrical tape....tape up the seam between the light housing and your cab.

see if the leak stops.

well, it's leaking in from the top driver's side corner of the back window. took off the 3rd brake light doesn't seem like that's where the water is getting in but when I put it back on I noticed that the driver's side screw hole is kind of stripped.
