Right now I get between 18 and 25 mpg's. Just stay off the interstates and use highways instead and don't stand on the throttle and you'll be fine. When I do that, usually get around 25 mpg's.

I came from a '89 F150, I must say I LOVE! the Ranger. Instead of ~12 mpg, I now get ~28. Not to mention a lot more reliable, easier to park, and a little more modern.

What bugs me the most is how people frown on the Ranger until they own one. It seems they end up falling in love with the ranger after they buy or drive a ranger and see what we've seen and have known for years.

I've had my Ranger for a month now and I love it, I'm getting around 19 to 20 mpg. It reminds me of driving a small gas version of my Superduty.

My Chevy gets better gas mileage then my Ranger, but the tank is fucking huge! 26 gallons at 3.50 a gallon is too fucking much. The Ranger has a 17 gallon tank, so I really can't wait to fill it up, lol.

My mom was complaining the other night how it cost her $35 to fill up her Subaru Outback. I was completely jealous, since that would be almost half a tank for me, lol.

I hate that so much when people whine about how terrible it is to fill up there cars and how $40 is going to kill them. Especialy when they have full time jobs and make decent money. I have a 12 hour a week job making minimum wage while doing full time school. If any one has the right to complain its people in my situation. I'm not saying they can't its just that I want to tell em to shut up and go away when I hear it. Oh well I ride my bike as much as possible now.

I'm too afraid to calculate my MPG's.

As for falling in love with Rangers, I never really cared for them before I bought my '00. But after I bought it, boy did they grow on me, and quick.

i love my ranger and i can get decent mileage with it even after the mods but my F-150 gets the same mileage and is nicer to drive. even though it has almost twice the range per tank and gets the same mileage it sucks ass to fill up that 30 gallon tank so it is nice when i have to put gas in the ranger because it feels like its cheaper to fill, even though i have to fill it twice as often.

I think we all have a right to complain about the gas prices whether you make millions or you aren't working period. I never understood why people who make less money get pissed off when people that have money complain about the gas prices. They shouldn't be as high as they are, and there's plenty of reasons why it shouldn't, but not many for why they are. If person has to pay for their own gas, they have a right to complain. If a person has others pay for it for them, then no, they don't, IMO.

Well I came from an '08 3/4 6.0L gas Chevy, it's quite a downsize for me but I love it. The Chevy got 11.3 mpg downhil with a tail wind. My first tank on the new Ranger was 17.4 mpg but I did a lot of idling, stop & go plus had 700-800 lbs in the box all week long. also my truck has less than 350 miles on the clock so it's not broke-in yet.

I too was that guy that said I would never own or drive a Ranger, I only kick myself for not buying this truck 10 years earlier.
