Default '06 Ranger XL 3.0 loses power on hills

My '06 Ranger 3.0 was losing power on hills a few months ago. I replaced the rear catalytic converter and was able to maintain speed on hills again. However, the check engine light came back on and, over the course of a few more months, it began losing power on hills again. I paid the Ford dealership $130 to do a full diagnosis. Their response was that the pre-converters were clogged. So, I replaced them [$460], which didn't change a thing.

Anyone else with this problem had success in fixing it? I'm thinking of a few things:
* I heard there's sometimes a problem with valves receding into the head
* EGR valve clogged (but think I read 03-later models don't have one)
* O2 sensors
* low fuel pressure

Help?

Take it back and complain that they didn't fix it and make them fix it for free. You took the truck in and they didn't fix the problem. It's their fault and you should be compensated.

At the most you will have to pay for parts.

It might just be the weak engine if I am trying to go up a hill at anything above 40mph my 3.0 feels like its a fat guy running up hill away from a McDonalds. (please sir just let me go back down...)
