EcoBoost
So I was watching tv the other day and saw an F150 commercial boasting 22mpg and thought wow that would be nice. I looked into it a bit more and its now being offered with the 3.5L ecoboost engine with 365HP and 420lb/ft of torque. If they were to put that engine in a Ranger i would buy it. What do you guys think?

Re: EcoBoost
well I guess I was trying to say for example that if the 2012 Ranger came with the ecoboost engine as an option that it would be cool. I think that it could be a good option to market and would make me want a newer one even more
Not saying that throwing a turbo or two in my ranger now wouldn't be awesome just looking forward is all

Well considering that there isn't going to be a 2012 Ranger, you won't have to worry about going out and buying one or putting yourself into debt just to get a "special" engine....

Re: EcoBoost
Yeah i agree with Pietato, but how bout the new 2.3l ecoboost supposed to be in the mustang... Now that would probably be a way to bring back the ranger! I for one would certainly buy a ranger that has 305 hp and can get close to 30 on the highway.

I wouldn't be able to afford an eco boost. 19k for the engines alone...

Eco is only good for towing and it gets worse fuel economy then the 5.0

Really? that'd be kind of hard to believe. Like a new 5.0 or a 99 5.0?
