It's hard to say. I'm mainly assuming that the price of the base F150 will rise above what a base Ranger costs. Not a significant raise, but enough to make some people go towards the Ranger due to price.

here's what it boils down to money.... they'll drop the ranger just as chevy did the camaro.. and when they see that they are loosing money because of it they'll look at each other and say hmmmm let's see what we can do here... they will go over some "new" concept truck the same size as the ranger put the ranger name on it and there you go a new redesigned ranger.... just as chevy did with the new camaro....

Make a truck called...

The Ford Cootermobile.

That will sell.

Every man would have to buy one.

Who can not resist a Cooter?

I agree that this kind of movement would probably not get Fords attention, however on the flip side, it couldn't hurt at all.

Plus, the more attention us Ford Ranger owners get, the better IMHO. While it may not grab Fords attention, it might grab the attention of some aftermarket companies looking to expand their product line.

Ford should have went to every neighborhood and drove around and looked in peoples driveways and saw how many compacted trucks sat in their driveways. Just about every other driveway you see has a small compact truck weather it be a Chevrolet s10 or a Ford Ranger. Then that maybe would have changed their minds. We use Ford Rangers and Chevrolet colorados at work for our delivery trucks.

What people have in their driveways now is of no useful value to Ford. What they care about is what people will want to have parked in their driveway next year.

remeMber, all ford vehicles (with the exception of Ranger and Mustang) start with an "E" or "F" so "COOTERMOBILE" won't work. how about the Ford "ERECTION"
or "EROTICA"

I will say that I love the ranger and I am all for it sticking around. I love the idea of a slightly larger crew cab version of it. I have no need for an F150, but... I would drive a new F100 Ranger. Like this.

That right there would be an acceptable trade for the Ranger being discontinued IMO.
