loaded, full magazine with one in the pipe at all times is perfectly legal in the state of sc as long as it is in the console or glovebox. UNLESS you have you CWP, in which case you can have one wherever you want EXCEPT UNDER YOUR SEAT. I roll with one on my hip 24/7. spare mags in my pocket and glovebox.

I think it ks strange how you can not open carry in South Carolina and you must keep your pistol in a compartment but here in North Carolina you can open carry and must have your pistol on the dash or seat without your CCW.

i have a plastic box cutter in my glove box. and some jack tubes in the bed.
