Open carry is legal here. But, I have my CPL. Concealed Pistols License.

Very few places I can't carry. Federal buildings, schools, bars. I can even carry into my local court house. They have lockers at the door and you just lock it up

Why can't you carry? Too young? Felon? Live in Commiefornia?

When I'm on my normal schedule I cary a .22 rifle a AR and a .45 the .22 is for squirrels the AR is for coyotes and the .45 is for who ever wants to screw with me or my truck.

I carry my M&P Compact on me almost always. I often carry an M&P Shield as well, depending on my girlfriends attire, it often does not lend itself well to concealed carry.

I've got a rifle rack mounted to my roof just behind the dome light, but I only make use of that for when I go to a 2a supportive rally.

Ignore the following if you are familiar with NFA firearms regulations. I'm just trying to pass on the knowledge in the event that you were not.

While I personally believe that restrictions to length and types of firearms we own are unconstitutional, I do feel at least partially obligated to inform you that a 16" barrel on a shotgun is against the law currently without proper tax stamps. They are considered NFA firearms, and require a document know as a form 1 or a form 4, depending on the route you take.

18" is the minimum by law an individual is allowed to purchase, own or create without paying an additional fee (tax stamp) and under-going additional background checks. On the other hand, rifle barrels can be no shorter than 16" without paying the tax and getting the stamp first.

As far as a folding stock, I would also advise you to ensure that with the stock folded your 500 still measures 26" in overall length. That is another bogus law, with no practical reasoning behind it.

To measure the length of your barrel to confirm, with the bolt closed and chamber empty, insert a cleaning rod down the barrel until it contacts the bolt face. Mark a mark on the cleaning rod where the end of the barrel comes to, and then take it out and measure the distance.

My mistake. I wasn't sure how to measure the barrel. It's the Mossberg 500 Jic cruiser edition. So it has an 18.5 inch barrel. With the folding stocking.
