YES!
Those were the days, when you had to move the wipers manually, driving at night meant you had to put some oil in the front lanterns and light them on. Oh the good old days of steam engines! When turning up the sound meant you had to sing louder.. and what about those wooden wheels!!
I really envy you.

Secondly, you can find comfier seats. I broke my back a while back ago and find a hard time finding a seat that's comfortable as well, but they make seat covers that will help.
Thirdly, if you do plan on trading the truck in even if you do decide to make a few changes to hopefully help you out, think long and hard: do you really need a truck? It sounds like a car may suit you better comfort wise.
I agree on both counts. Maybe he joined the forum to get some help on how to get his ride up to his liking.

Jimmeh why do you say you would rather get lower MPG's in a smaller truck because the tank is cheaper to fill up. Whether you have a small truck with a 10 gallon tank that gets 16 mpg's or a bigger truck with a 50 gallon tank that gets 20 mpg's, guess what if you put 10 bucks worth of regular gas in both, the bigger 50 gallon truck still goes farther lol??

wooo cheif ill take it easy on you compared to some others but try posting your question with your own thread instead of in someone elses, especially when the 2 problems/topics aren't even the same. Also make sure you try and post the new thread in the right area. The search function also helps and id recommend reading through the sticky threads at the top of the new member and site related sections to help you out.
Then that will be the best way to get your question answered with the least amount of hassle. I realize your new and you have a problem that is probably urgent but just trying to save you the hassle and problems of the forum. Good luck
Ill send you a PM and help set ya up to get you going and to not clutter up this thread. Carry on

I asked everyone I know who has a full size truck what they get in mpg and consistently they said about 18 mpg. I only get 18 mpg in my truck so why not just get a full size truck and get the same gas mileage? The inside of the truck is just not ergonomically correct for me. I have a tilt steering wheel and if I put it in the position that I like, it blocks the view of the dash and my speed. I have the extended cab and I can't stand how I have to move the seats forward and the back rest all the way forward to try and squeeze anything back there. If you do get anything back there, good luck getting it back out. I was hesitant to get the truck in the first place and will surely end up trading this in because I just can't stand it. I hate it! Sorry for the rant. I know people on here love their ranger, it's just not for me.

Re: Hate my ranger!!
well...To each their own!
I like the fact that their are those that would rather own a different truck.
It would be dull to see all trucks of one make!
BarnBurner-
-change your seats to Explorer seats for more comfort
-with gas mileage ,is hard to compare Apples and Oranges
reg maintenance,K&N air filter,better gears/tire changes,
and driving in the stop n go city can all be at play here
-Supercab has alot more room than reg cab,but it still has Negs i agree
-Hoping that if you DO decide to trade ,whatever you you get you will be satisfied
knowing it is right for you!
-You can still be a member of this forum though!

Re: Hate my ranger!!
Dewking, great to see you again! I'm glad that your Frontier is working out for you. Unfortunately, the Ranger isn't your bitch, and isn't up to your controlling demands. But this is exactly where the Frontier comes in. It's great to see you finally found something submissive enough to your every demand.
Regards, Shaun (I don't bitch about small easily solved issues under warranty) Smith.
As for the O/P, I wish you the best of luck in suiting the Ranger to your needs, or, best of luck in the search for a replacement vehicle.
Bottom line, Rangers aren't for everyone. Be a responsible consumer and do your research before you buy a vehicle.
