Re: What if?
I have a road and mountain bike, so that will get me to and from work but since I work on air refueling tankers, I guess they wouldn't be running either. Kinda puts me out of a job....

Re: What if?
I made this thread to see how and what yall would do IF the world starts to fall apart worser than it is. No oil or anything. Back to the old ways.
Would you survive?
Would you be able to live without your everyday wants such as Computers, etc?
Just making yall think outside the box JUST incase something does happen.

Re: What if?
Welll everyone would shrivel up and die so it wouldn't matter. Without oil, our ability to produce electricity will dwindle significantly. Everything you eat and drink relies on electric power to produce it, refrigerate it, etc. Your live-off-the-land farm will not last long running on what? Burning logs?
Unfortunately with recent events, I don't see nuclear power gaining any strategic ground either.
So yea, basically if oil disappeared tomorrow we'd all die.

Naw, I doubt I would. You will find a way to survive.
Your ancestors have done it if not you wouldn't be here.
People in very crowded cities might since there is alot more people competing.
Living with wood is no problem here.
No, you can produce vegatables and meats without electricity. They have done it for thousands and thousands of years. You have to be smart.
It will be back to mule and plow and hand planting and hand pulling weeds, etc.
Usually you will have to smoke your meat and store it in a cool dark area (cold storage), that's how they used to do it back then.

Re: What if?
I was a Boy Scout and I'm still big on the outdoors. I might struggle a little at first but I think I could make it. I would just have to plant myself in the middle of somewhere where there is a good bit of woods. There are a few State parks that come to mind that aren't that far away.

Be warn. People will think like you and they will to be filled up.
Best to buy yer own land and plant yer own trees and raise yer own food.
