Without the fuel tank still connected to the truck you cant test it

If it is connected you could use a volt meter to test the wires to see if there is current from any of them

thanks man and i found the problem there was a wire off so i got it back on and she turns over good but will only stay going for a second and die again. so i was going to change this filter {planned on doing it anyways}:

and i removed the 2 lines that come from the tank and turned the key to see if anything comes out of hte lines and nothing came out. is this supposed to happen when she isnt running and just the key ahead or is the gas supposed to come out of those lines when only the key is turned?
thanks guys

If you took them off the tank nothing will come out of them there would be gas coming out of the lines by the fuel filter which you posted only when trying to turn the truck on as in running

when you to the key to run it will always prime the system, but it will only run the pump for a few seconds. does it stay running if you use carb cleaner?

well i hooked some old lines up to the filter and to a gas tank and she runs but when she is at low idle she likes to die out so i cant stomp out on the gas

so i hooked the tank back up to the filter and she was the same way, so now im gonna change the filter
yay me
