The Exclusion of the F150 has already started.. People aren't buying those either.. Idk what its like elsewhere, but here in San Jose, I work on a major automall and the same $30-$60k f150's have been occupying the same spots for the last 5-6months.. I see alotta people just sacking up and buying an F250/350... cuz you can get one well equipped for around the same price as fully loaded f150... and also because alot more people are cashing on the benefits of Turbo-diesel.... The Ranger will be back..

1- If you don't advertize your product, people won't buy it.

2- If you just started to offer massive rebates 2 years ago, but don't advertize them, people won't know, and won't buy it.

3- If you walk into a dealership, and the only ad for rebates is a sheet on the truck in the back of the showroom, refer to #1 and 2.

The only reason i knew there were huge rebates is because my brother dragged me to ford, it was far from my first choice; my ranger was 29k, and the wrangler was 30.

I love how almost all rangers are sports ( not a lot of XLs or XLTS in my area) and are base, most dont have power group, cruise, and some dont have AC, and 905 of them are auto, so its pretty much 20 of the same truck on the lot, just the choice of colour and whether they are 2wd or 4wd, theres no damn variety

have you ever seen a 50's f-100 up close? my dad has a 54 in the garage and besides height wise they arent much bigger then a ranger so even tho it may be a full size truck in its day its tiny for today's standards

My buddy's 02 F150 dawrfs my F100. Both of my Rangers have been as big as my F100. I know thees. The difference? Things get bigger, including Americans.

The small truck market is gone for now. We all just have to face it. Eventually people will frown upon big trucks like the F150. Just give it a few years, and we'll have our small trucks back. England and Japan don't have F150's for a reason. Once America gets as overcrowded as those countries, we'll be kissing the F150 good bye.
That aint my truck shown in my avatar. It's photo of someone elses that I took at a car show.

What make sense to me is my own taste. Basicly I was wanting to have a weekend cruiser that has alot of power.

I've been looking for an older model that is in somewhat decent shape but have had no luck yet. Either the frame requires too much work, or is too far gone to even repair. I might even build me one from scratch, but it's going to take time. LMC TRUCK will have alot of what I would need.

It would be nice just have a couple more engine options than what we have available today. That alone would help the old Ranger platform out by itself. A 4 cylinder diesel would be nice. Or simply offer a V8.
