how much did you pay for your truck out the door?

i finally got a chance to drive down to the dealer to look for a truck. i found a nice sport in black but the price was $24k. i told the guy i want you to go lower and then he went blah blah blah...blah blah blah (meanwhile im staring at the gt500 in the showroom

and hes like $21k.
i cant afford $21k. then he tried to get my mom involved on the down payment. dirty move...

i want to get an idea of how much you guys paid for what model.

i was hoping to get an XLT with a 4.0 sohc/manual access cab.

but enough about me i wanna hear you guys talk

I just bought an 04 Edge 4x4 4dr 5spd with a 4.0 and 100k miles and paid 8900. A brand new one with everything i have on the 04 is about 25-26k sticker. You could probably get it down to 20k even with rebates and a good haggler. But thats all here in texas though.

O lol ya the guy wanted 1000 for it, but I talked him down to 750. My first ride. Got to love it.

Mine is 97 reg cab, ext bed. $2,100 for mine. He was asking $2,500, but the A/C didn't work. Haggled down to $2,100 and got the A/C fixed for $20. Big win for me.

in 2007 i paid 12k for a 2005 xlt extended cab 3.0/auto with just over 36k miles. i've since made the truck my bitch.

I paid; after plates, taxes, etc; about 3100 for my 97 XLT. Sticker price was 2900. Had 85xxx miles, very clean, almost fully loaded. I did get it from a Dealer, but he specializes in repairing wrecked vehicles and selling them at pretty low cost. It IS NOT a salvage title though.

I just bought my 2010 XLT power group pkg last year in May . Total price was about 24 K , and all the goodies . Tonneau cover , GPS , alarm , Window Visors , Extended Warranty .

I got a lot off the truck and added in some accessories .
listed for 23, 800 .
So Base truck was a little less than 21 K . Make sure to put money down on the vehicle and don't finance the whole thing . Get a cheaper priced vehicle if you cannot afford something a little more expensive yet . Plenty of time to buy a newer one . Don't let them talk you into stuff you don't need . I am on the road a lot and do a lot of miles so I bought stuff that will help if I break down far from home .

bought my 06 in September of 08. They wanted 17k for it. I played hardball and haggled and haggled and got them down to 15,200. I was on the phone with my sales lady and I told her "well im going to go look for a truck in the 14k-14.5k range". She was like ok, maybe next time. No sooner than five minutes later she calls me back and says:

My fiance's mother works for the news office and does their advertising so they know her extremely well lol.

So then i added an extended warranty in which i got an additional 600 off of. I ended up walking out the door all said and done (tags, taxes, title, gap and extended warranty) paying 15500
