I paid 5k for my 97 back in 03. It had high miles and I think the small town dealer I got from was afraid of that. The truck booked for $8,400 back then.
Bought my 98 from a private party for $1,000 back in 04.
The rest of my trucks (99,01) were gotten from trades.

Bought mine new in 1996. Paid $12,000 after the dealer installed an air conditioner and bed liner. With 183,000 miles on it I figure it is still worth $1500 to an insurance company if it were totaled, but it would take more to get it away from me. Time for clutch work now. I don't know yet what the extent of the work will be.

Bought my Ranger Sport last November brand new. MSRP was 26,000. Traded in my Cobalt with 110,000 miles on it. They, over the course of about a week, rebates, and giving me a lot for my car, brought it down to $15,500. It was $16,800 out the door total. Not bad...

$700 for a '93 4-liter, 4x4. 138,500 miles, no rust, no accidents. Guy thought the engine was blown, so I towed it home. Turns out it was just out of gas, and the gauge was broken. A little fuel and it fired right up and has run well for 2 years.

165,XXX miles
$200 with no leaf spring hangers left and a couple other odds and ends wrong.
Everything almost fixed now and right around $500 total including the cost of the truck and parts

2002 2x4 XLT 4.0SOHC 115k, one or two minor dents, one or two scratches. bed completely replaced would never know the difference if only the pin striping went all the way down the truck. payed 4500 in 2011
