Default Choosing a Ranger over the B series

Hey guys, I know this a Ford ranger Forum, but there are a lot of Happy B series on this forum and I was wondering, why did most of us choose a Ranger over a B Series?

My main reason was that I could not have the 4L 2wd in Canada since all Bseries are automatically 4x4 here. I am also not a fan of the headlights and foglights of the B series. I do like the Dual Sport Logos as well as the Mazda Steering, but that is not enough to pay the extra amount (ford had 6,000 rebates, mazda had a 1,500 rebate) for the B series. I am just wondering about why most of us have rangers (and none of that "well the ranger is American and the mazda is not" business, we all know its mostly the same truck

I think the B series looks better with the flared bed. The interior also looks better. The grilles are hit and miss depending on trim and year. Aftermarket for the Mazda is less abundant, but only for a couple things, like grill, headlights, and taillights.

i actually like the newer mazda's better than most year rangers... mostly the bed & fender design, and the bumper / headlights.

my uncle has a silver '01 B4000 2wd R/cab that's a very nice looking truck.

then my buddie has a '98 B3000 4x4 extended cab that is a clone to my truck options wise, other than the extra cab space. black truck with a gold interior, and neat looking gold side decals that swoop up the bed and end with small 4x4 lettering.

my dad also had a blue '94 B2300 when i was real little, not a single option and he HATED that truck. he originally bought it because he had an '86 ish B2200 2wd R/cab pickup that he LOVED... 4 banger, 5 speed, optioned very nicely with graphics, diferant wheels, deluxe interior, ect... towed great, got 30 MPG's all day and lasted about 350,000 miles before he traded it in on the '94

I guess it comes down to what you know, I guess some people pefer to buy Macdonalds Fries over buying mcCain fries, even though they are the same thing except the fact that one is already cooked for you at $2.50 for a large when you buy the other at the same price but at three times the quantity for the same $2.50

I think its 1999, since the 1998 and older models are still viewed as separate from the ranger according the Wiki

Yeah, my Ford Courier is part Mazda part Ford

Mazda and Ford worked together on the Bseries and Ranger since most can interchange

It's like Dodge has Mitsubishi stuff.
