Default Brake issues???

When it gets about 30 to 40 degrees outside and wet. Cold rain snow crappy Michigan weather my brakes freeze up when its parked for a few hours. I will put the vehicle in drive or reverse and it will not move unless I punch the gas real hard. There was one time I did not drive my truck for a week and I had to get my trucked pulled out my garage because my brakes were frozen. Now I had my brakes checked about 4 times and I was told my brakes are fine. I had two different mechanics look at them. They said I do not need them replaced yet. Very minimal wear. This only happens when its cold and it is irritating. They are very noisy as well. I'm thinking I should just get all new brakes all the way around. Any suggestions???

Grease yer slider bolts. it could be that they are dry and hang up. Drum brakes can hang up too if the springs need replacement.

Is it possible that there is moisture in the wheel cylinders that is freezing? You might need a brake system flush.

I've had the same problem with my brakes. My two rear drums locked up when it got below 0, it tooks a ton of de-icer and a bunch of rocking back and forth to get em popped open.

I think moisture up in the drums froze them over pretty good, although I'm not sure why it would be that bad for you at around 30 degrees?

check your backing plate and look for the break adjustment hole, it may be on the drum not sure, make sure the rubber plug is in there, this is what keeps the moisture out.
