Default Bully LED Fire Strip

I bought a Bully LED Fire Strip part #TBL-001 for my tailgate. Long story short comes in 3 pieces you have to use the two 24" pieces or two 24" pieces and a 12" piece to create either 48" or 60". My tailgate is about 46" since I have a flareside or stepside bed. Any ideas?

the tucking would look better, on top of the tailgate would be hard because the wire will show thru when he opens the tailgate and if he uses his bed alot he might get something caught on the wire

I was able remove about 1 1/2" there was extra space at the ends of the tubes. So I cut about 3/4" off each tube. I have to measure the truck again to see if it will fit now or if it still wont. The ends had rubber plugs in them and some rtv. I just need to get some new rtv and reseal.

they are in tubes. I can't tuck in the ends. I think I have them small enough now to fit. I just need to get some rtv.

Couldn't you drill a hole in the bed sides to slip the tube ends into?

Yeah I thought of that but I didn't really want to. That would work though.
