Kragen/O'Reilly brand, synthetic, cause it's cheap. Almost 250k miles later and its still running strong. In our Rangers I don't think super-duper oil is needed, if I was driving around a high performance car I would use something better.

Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra.
Take your valve covers off, look at them, then run Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra and do it again.....Big Difference. I run it in Jeeps, Rangers and Saabs. Couldnt be happier.

We use to run a full synthetic in our VW Beetle. That was because the warranty demanded for it.
Now I just put in Mobil 1
