Default Need help fast!! I'm positive my water pump is the cause of my huge leak

I traced everything and its not a hose or the radiator leaking its coming from the water pump, i belive im gonna need to replace the seal. How do i do this??

Hmmm, pumps weep when they need to be replaced. There is a hole specifically placed in the pump to let it leak when the bushing/bearing is worn out. If you are losing that much water, then yea need to get it done asap.
If you see the water pump, then you should be able to figure out what needs to be done. They are a fairly easy job, just make sure you carefully clean all excess material from the mating surfaces. G/L

yeah shes squealing but i think its coming from another pulley, hmmm i just bought the waterpump seal to stop it from leaking but i dont have the 52bucks on hand to get the waterpump.

Im really gonna need to replace that pump, soo i will try to borrow some cash from a friend for it.

Yea if its leaking from the weep hole you need to replace all the stopleak in the world isn't gonna help.

yeah thats what i was told. I'm lucky cause im an automotive student at a local community college soo i can use the lifts whenever i need plus i can use the alighnment rack, tire machine, balancer and ob2 scan tool, its great.

i think im having the same problem but dont want to throw parts at my truck. if i start the truck and let it run to warm up will i be able to see it coming out the water pump? or will a cooling system pressure check leak though the weep hole?

You should if your engine is not ground zero be able to see residue from dried coolant, if not then yea let it get to temp/ just cruise and check it. If your ear is good enough typically it'll talk to you. kind of like there are ghosts in your vehicle it can be heard from within the cab.
