Re: Custom switch panels, wiring, lights, etc
That's the only thing that sucks about my truck (03 edge)
There isn't really any places to put a switch or so anything unless you get pretty creative with it

My truck
I am planning on taking out the cup holders in the middle under the dash, and building a custom center console with a switch panel on there along with mounts for my CB and Race Radio

You replace the plastic piece around your radio to accept those 3 stock fog light switches? Or did you carefully cut the plastic? That is fuckin sick!

Re: Custom switch panels, wiring, lights, etc
I need to find an inventive way to mount my CB and Race Radio right now
They are currently mounted on the side of my sub box behind my seat, but I am not sure how I like it.
I want to rip all wiring, accessories and switches out of my truck and re-do EVERYTHING
Make 1 switch panel for everything and make it all clean and accessible. I have A LOT of accessories on my truck that have been kinda "thrown in" over the years. There isn't much more I can add so I am probably done adding shit to my truck, so I think now is a good time to clean it all up

It started life as an Expo bezel with the rear wiper button & insert. I filled all that in & re-shaped that side to match the left side better, then modded the switch bracket to hold the top switch (not an easy task) then made the top fog switch hole.
Then I made up 3 of my wiring kits for the OEM fog switches & connected them to my OEM fogs, Hella's up front & aux. reverse lights.
I've got about 10 bezels boxed up right now that I haven't had time to work on due to other projects
My next idea is to have 3 OEM fog switches on the right side & 2 on the left side below the 4x4 switch. The only problem with that is that I'll need to find somewhere to mount 2 more pairs of lights.

Re: Custom switch panels, wiring, lights, etc
Haha I feel your pain with finding places to mount lights. I was once running 10 lights on my truck hahaha. I only have 6 right now (not including headlights) but only 4 get used. Those 4 are all that I need tho. (4) 9" HIDs and you are set no matter how fast you are going
----------
One of these days I will get started on my custom center console thing. I am going to make it so only the face of the CB and Race Radio is showing, and probably put either bomber switches or LED touch switches for all my accessories. It will look clean, I am excited
I want to make it out of sheet metal, but I don't want it to look like the inside of a race truck or prerunner or something. I am thinking about just covering it in carpet or something haha
Anyone have some ideas? Or pics of something similar to this? I can't find any

Something a little bit similar to that, but all boxed off and enclosed so you only see the switches and things that are necessary
