I saw this car downtown in front of me starting to smoke!
I pulled up behind him ,carefully popped open his hood(no fire yet),and saw that his battery cable had arced on metal.
I had my fire extinguisher in hand just in case of emergencies like this.
I'm anal about carrying everything to help out others.
(i should have been a tow truck driver!)
So i'm curious to see how many of you carry a fire extinguisher in your truck? Or jumper cables,flares,cones,and tow cables?

My friend (who USED to smoke)
saw smoke in his rear view mirror and thought " where the heck is all that smoke coming from? That person should check his engine"
Well... turns out his cigarette ashes flew back into his rear window and caused his interior to catch fire! He luckily had a extinguisher to put it out!

I'll be putting an extinguisher in my F100 when I restore it. Something about 31 year old vehicle scares me. When the Ranger gets a little bit older, I may throw one in it too.
