Default Ranger Door Handles.
so i bought new door handles because my driver side broke and no longer worked... when i put the new one in how it said, it shortly broke the same way the stock one broke. the plastic is shitty and super thin for such a high use part. anyone know a place online that sells metal or thick plastic handles for a 99' rannger?

I would check ebay-I just snapped my tailgate handle and found a nice replacement on ebay for ten bucks. I installed it yesterday and it works perfect. good luck Tom

lube the latch and take the door panel off and make sure the rods arent binding up

It sounds to me like you either have a mechanism issue or a linkage issue causing the failures. The handles from my '98 are the originals and work fine. Do like suggested above and try lubing the latch mechanism with some white lithium grease. You might have to do the latter a few times while opening and closing the door to work the latch if they have never been lubed before.

alright thanks everyone. ill try this stuff. it opens up from the inside so i have to leave my window open enough so i can reach my arm in and let myself in haha
