Default Burn Outs?..

Ford rangers are light trucks and i dont usually have much i the back and i burn out alot. is it bad for the truck?

Rangers have always been light trucks. I find my 03 doing the same thing when I pull out of parking lots too quickly. If you lay off the gas a little, it should stop doing it.

It puts a lot of stress on the trans and can ruin your axle shafts. Burnouts are stupid (and this coming from a guy with a T/A). My T/A has already had worn out bearings and I had to replace an axle shaft at 45k miles.

If you do a 'brake stand' burnout, that can really heat up your rear brakes and make them not function as well. I put a brake line lock on my Caprice just so I could do burnouts with out damaging the rest of the driveline as much when I go to the track.
