Yup a programmer is the only way to take it off. Why would you need to go over 87 anyways?

then the only thing you can do is spring on the 500 dollars and get a programmer.

If the reason you want to shut the speed limiter off is so your girlfriend can drive faster on the highway, you both have issues.

Be careful on what kind of programmer you get. My truck shuts off at 90 and i got a Jet programmer and it didnt do anything to the shut off, it still shut off at 90, but i think a superchip eliminates the shut off but be ready to pay alot.

That seems awfully low for a truck to be governed at; most cars I have seen have been governed around over 100 mph. How many RPM's is your truck running at 87 mph? Rev limiters are there to keep you from going overboard.

Normal is 90-95 for our trucks. 87 is a few lower than normal, but its nothing odd to see the speed vary. None the less, anything more on the highway is retarded anyway.

Know what's better than getting there in a hurry? Getting there alive. Check your fucking head, It's a pickup truck not a sports car.
