Default Re: Who has the Oldest Ranger? And who has the most miles?

I have a 1999 Ranger XLT 4X4 XLT super cab 4 door flareside. Everthing still works great and it has 223,897 miles on it with the first 185,000 being mostly interstate highway miles. I am the second owner and got it from the older gentleman who ordered the truck with the options he wanted. It was at the dealership every 3,000 miles for oil changes and as it aged he ad all the recommended items replaced. It is still an amazing little truck and runs great with no noises other than the usual finely tuned motor sounds. It uses less than a 1/2 pint of oil between oil changes now as I use the Ford Motorcraft semi synthetic brand of oil. I am about to replace the grill ( center plastic part ) and the rear step bumper. If/when the motor does finally give up the ghost from the high mileage I intend on buying a replacement engine (https://www.promarengine.com ) and will pay the core charge as I intend on keeping the original and having it rebuilt by the same company I will be buying the new long block from. I have a short list of quality engine rebuilders should anyone like them you can email me at bigdawgwalls@yahoo.com and I will gladly send you the list of the best of the best. This list is one I compiled after much research and discussion with others who know Ford vehicles and bleed blue just as I do.

i have '94 Ranger that's showing 04,500.0 miles but i've lost track it's really 204,500.0 or 304,500.0 (or 400,000) as the odometer only shows 6 digits, not 7. Anybody know how read the true mileage?

1997 2.3 Ranger 394,400 miles. Original engine and manual transmission 3.45 IIRC . Should hit 400k miles this year.
