What's your 4X4 Rangers MPGs?

What are your 4x4 Rangers MPGs?

I'm trying to figure about what to do to whether buy a Ranger or not. I need something with good gas mileage and 4x4.

I have my 85 Ford Ranger 4x4 with the 2.3L/5 spd manual but people say it won't get 20mpg or 20mpg+.

Hearing the 4.0/5 spd manual is good on gas. Is this true?

what year are you looking for?

if I do mostly highway, Ill see 20-21 tops.

around town I get 16ish, but it really depends on how I drive

im not a 4 wheel drive but most rangers PERIOD get about 16 to 20 mpg regardless of
4wd or 2wd, you will never see a prius mpg lol

the Duratec 4 with Man gets high 20's Hwy

Any year but I usually like older stuff because it's less electronic (which means less $$$ going out for repairs).

Thinking about trading my fullsize Bronco for a Ranger 4x4...idk. I don't need a car.

I have a 4.0 5 speed 4x4. I average around 21 mpg highway and 18 city. Depends how I drive mostly.

The last trip i went on i got 17.5 mpg. Trip was about 7 hours. Pretty much all highway. I get around 15 in town going back and forth. A lot depends on the tire your gonna run and how you drive. Before i lifted and put 33's on i was getting 18 city and 22 hwy.

maybe a programmer, but i dont see it doing any better then 1-2 mpg

How many MPGs does a 2.3L with 5 spd manual trans in a 4X4 Ranger get?

I haven't calculated mine since the engine messed up.

Yeah, makes me wonder if I shouldn't or should keep my 4x4 Ranger with 2.3L in it because I am hearing people saying they are getting 20mpg+ and some saying they get 15 mpg or less (like a fullsize truck).
