if thats true then why would people say that the mpg is worst...i do 50 miles daily so my mpg wont change too much???

^^ cruising on flat strait roads with no traffic doing 65 or higher your mpg might go up a bit.

My dad wanted to lift my two door tahoe. I had to sell it though.

I planned on paying for everything but he is paying for the truck and I think I mite try to convince my pap into trading his 4wd ranger for this one and I'll just tell him how much better mpg he will get and the 4wd one has a small body lift so I'd only need maybe a rear locker and bfg's

Just point out that its will still be safe, may enhance the retail value and like others said "father/son project"

What I'm telling my dad is that it rides to low for my likening. Lucky for me, he likes vehicles that sit higher and agrees with me, especially after seeing my friends new 2wd '08. Just don't make a big deal about it. It isn't worth having hard feelings with your dad. There are certain issues when it may be worth it. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!

take your dad to a truck accessory dealer who installs lift kits. have THEM explain what is safe and what isn't. Tell your dad that you will be paying for the lift and tires.
sometimes, Dads, Moms need reassurance from "experts"

you won't be living there forever (hopefully) so tell your dad even though its unfair, that you will respect what he wants til you move out. You gotta lot of time to build what you want, if you destroy your relationship with your dad you will definately regret it down the line. jmho

Even though the truck is mine %100. Once you guys see me not on here for a couple days you will know i got kicked out of the house lol and i agree with ben! research is key to everything! i've been researching bfg's and come to find out there the best rated all terrain tire out there for the price. But like i said my dad says he like my p235's so i'm still trying to get him on board with the 31's bfg's. Its been a war here for the last couple of months with this tire topic. Taking a blade to my tires so i have to get new tires is a possibility right now

It's your truck...walk your ass out there right now and take off them damn mud flaps! Your dad will get over it.
