with all due respect, i think you should go to a frontier forum to brag, instead of staying here and telling everyone how much better your like the frontier than the "toy" ranger. If i got a new vehicle i wouldnt be here telling people how much better i think it is than the ranger. correct me if im wrong, but this is a ford ranger forum.

They don't have any out now do they? No, not at all. They stopped making them in 09. And they weren't out for along time to begin with. STFU and leave. I never said they didn't have it, I said it sucked so much they didn't keep making them. Go troll on a Frontier forum instead of a Ranger forum.

I have found it weird that you've always seemed to post problems about your brand new Ranger, and then you have a rattle noise and despite having a warranty you trade it for a Frontier.
Aren't you also the one who made a thread complaining and saying your leaving the forum because people were not responding to your previous threads even though they were up for only a day?

You sounded like one whining about having a little rattle. My ranger makes all sorts of weird noises and acts funny. I don't like it, but i'm dealing with it, and you get used to it. As stated above, you had a warranty why not use it? If the dealer was being an ass, go to a different one.

EDIT:Stephen, took the words right out of my mouth!

thanks, sorry the ranger didnt work out for me, but i think i got a lemon, I am in no way giving you guys shit about rangers after alll i had one for 20 years with no problems. I still like the ranger and some of you guys have awsome looking rides and just for the records my 2011 ranger had more than a rattle..I had nothing but bad experience from day 1.... just my luck.

Hey bud, you're probably not willing to do the research or spend the time intensive task. But your truck would fall under the ''lemon law'' and is required by law to be followed by dealerships, manufacturers and all subsidiaries alike. If I were you, I would threaten them with this and chances are they'll either A: give you a monetary compensation and replacement vehicle, or B: Give you both, along with an extended warranty at no cost to you, or just let you borrow a dealership vehicle until all problems with yours are fixed. I used to have a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT that had bearing problems, crank sensor problems and then some. After merely mentioning the lemon law to Richmond Hyundai/Dodge, they gave me a relacement vehicle within 2 days and an additional 4,000 in compensation of fuel, parts, and time taken out of my pocket to do what they were too lazy to even look at.
(by the, that dealership went bankrupt)

----------

Okay. So after doing a little educated informing I'll have my go. I'm sorry but they do seem correct on this. You don't quite seem like you're motivated enough to either A: Stop whining, or B: do research. You could of easily filed a lemon lawsuit against the dealership, and Ford at no expense to you and received compensation for your problems. I, as stated in the quote had a 2007 Dodge Caliber back in 2006 when they were brand new, and it kept blowing crank sensors. After 13 trips to dealerships ranging from the one down the road, to one an hour away, I eventually started doing research and found out about the lemon law. If you vehicle was purchased new, and you can report more than two visits for the same issue...and more issues develope or the same issue is still there, you qualify. Now with that being said, I'm really not trying to insult you, but you have left yourself in a position TO be insulted. A little education, common sense, and motivation could of gotten you a long way. I now have a 2001 Ford Ranger that has an heater condensor with a bad pulley...it squeaks enough to drive me mad, but considering that I have dealt with worse problems than a dang squeaky belt (Afghanistan/Iraq tour in 2008-9) I've learned that a little WD40, patience, and a loud stereo go a far distance.

And as for my favor? I've only owned one foreign car, it was a 1989 Nissan 240sx with a RB25DET swap. And it will be the only foreign car I'll ever buy.

Thanks for your service Andrew. I mentioned something about the lemon law earlier on his other thread about his problems. I agree with you, but I also see where he is coming from. But if it were me, I would have seen it through to the end because I just spent a big chunk of change on a new vehicle. I want it to be perfect. If it's not right, and it has a warrenty. They can keep fixing it until it's right, or straight out replace it like you said.

Thanks for the advice, but i dont have time for that I work 12 to 14 hours a day and cant do without transpotation any how here is the list of problems I had.
Got the Ranger in November, had it for a day and the instrament cluster icons would all come on then go off, took it in to the dealer no problems found, started it up one morning to go to work and it would not go into drive, shut it off tried it again and it was dead, had to have it towed to the dearler, 3 days later they called and said they had to replace the instrament cluster, got it back and everything under the dash rattled from them working on it, so the other day got in it and started it up the engine check light came on went off and came on and went off went to the dearler and 3 days later they replaced the ECM, Friday got in it to go to work and would not go into drive, turned it off and tried it again this time it was fine, drove it to the nissan dearler and made me a good deal on my new frontier, they gave me what I paid for my ranger plus with the 4k from nissan i paid 500 dollars more for the frontier.
as far a foreign cars go arnt they all made in the US, Ive owned 7 Hondas 2 Acura's and never had a bit of trouble with them.......
Regards,
Dewking X-Ford Ranger owner
