I'm not saying the initial ideas are bad though
I would like to have my windows tinted, and dual exhaust and after market stereo, but these are all budget busters and don't make ideal xmas gifts from my family

yeah i don't want a remote starter when i have a manual, its just a pain, i don't want a bull bar, since I want a nice clean, (close to stock sleeper look that's more sporty then off road).

Well then sir, ask them to make a contribution to the "whatever mod you want" fund. I'm sure a useless gimmick now is far less rewarding in the long run than the useful thing you'll have gathered money for later.

And what do you mean by pain? I've always had remotes for my manuals lol.

Well this more against remote starts in general, i've seen too many time the car starting by itself since the button was pressed against your pants or keys while carrying something, sitting down, and kneeling lol.. I have my car start while i was doing shingles last summer.

it's nice to have a remote start in the winter when its -40 degrees Celsius and you can start your car from the warmth of you home and let it idle for a bit until its ready to go so you sit in your cab waiting for 5-7 mins in -40 temps and getting frost bite in the process.

It gets cold as hell up here! Starting your truck ahead of time means you don't have to scrape the ice off your windows too. I also sometimes use it during summer to cool the truck before i leave.

That, never happened to me. For this truck i bought a 2 way system, the buttons are quite small it would be hard to press them by mistake. My brother has one that has a slider that covers the buttons completely. Heck, there's one at futureshop that works with your cellphone, but you need to pay a yearly membership fee.

Or, buy a leather belt holder.

I installed a Superchip on mine and didnt really notice any hp gains all it really does is allow you to fine tune your shift points on an auto trans. It will also remove any limiters you may have (speed, rev). I have yet to make it fix my speedometer idk why but for some reason i cant get it right.

I would personally say if your short on cash dont buy a Superchip. Just get some kind of performance exhaust put on like a Flowmaster 40 series or something of that nature youll just have to stop by a muffler shop and see what they recommed. My exhaust was only 90 bucks and thats a 40 series, a chrome tip and labour. but i did cut off my muffler the night before so that may be why he cut me a deal, because he didnt have to deal with it. The exhaust showed way more performance upgrades than the superchip did and it was way cheaper. It improved acceleration all around and gave me alot more top end power.

hmmm considering i have a manual tranny, the superchip would be pretty much pointless, i would like the exhaust, i am guessing you have a single? do you think going dual will improve quite a bit more performance or just as much as a single.

Idk you'd have to ask around. My truck which im sure all the v6s do has exhaust manifolds on each side of the engine and they come together into a single pipe under neath the cab of the truck. I would think that making it a dual exhaust would only benefit on a v8. If you made it into a dual its possible that it would decrease your back flow pressure and give you less power the sane effect would happen if you cut your muffler completely off. It would sound good but probably give you less power.

Ask around first though I really don't know from experience. Im sure someone on here has dual and could tell you.

2011? Still under warranty? Double check that you won't void coverage. Some clown in a Comaro locally just killed some gal. On board computer recorded his speed at the time of accident (over 100). If they can do that they sure could find any mods to get out of a warranty claim. Chips are for drivers who aren't getting the job done at full throttle. Where are you coming up short with your foot on the floor?

2011 with 1400 KMS and cracked windshield . I really just wanted the chip improve fuel consumption since i have seen some advertise that they increase fuel economy as well as add up 30 HP (which is a bonus but the 207 of my 4L is plenty. I don't know is changing my exhaust would void warranty and if so to what degree, I have no idea. I look in into it
